Wisdom & Energy Magic Beyond Traditional Reiki

When I was trying to increase the energy flow on someone, I would sometimes feel limited by the Traditional Reiki Symbols. This is when I began to explore using Aka-Dua along with Reiki in my sessions.
I immediately noticed that there was a different vibrational energy that came when I started off a session with Aka-Dua. This is also when I realized that there was perhaps more Reiki waiting to be rediscovered and uncovered.

After digging deeper and allowing the ideas to flow, I began to see the connection that the predominant trend of the names used to call upon the Divine all had the “aaahhh” sound to them. Aka-Dua had three ‘ahs’ altogether. No wonder it was so powerful. A light went off. Perhaps the sessions were more intense because the Divine had heard its name being called and was more fully present?

This led me down the rabbit hole of looking to see how else Aka-Dua was working in conjunction with Traditional Reiki, and I came to understand that although “Aka-Dua is not technically a form of Traditional Reiki, Reiki is energy. And energy can be called by other names. Again – what is in a name other than an intention to call upon something?

Shortly after doing a Reiki session with a channel friend of my co-author, anand, the channel, Marci, announced to anand, that anand and I had a very important mission to write a book. We didn’t even know what the book would be about other than I did require a newer Reiki Workbook to teach from. But as the book was conceived and developed, the Twelve Aspects of Energy were revealed in a flash to anand. When she shared them with me, I was amazed to see how her terms paralleled what I was already doing with Reiki + Aka-Dua. My words flowed out of me spontaneously and succinctly.

Then it was clear that each of the Twelve new Energy Aspects uncovered had a complimentary symbol flowing through as well. We were instructed to keep the symbols as simple as possible in the spirit of Dr. Usui’s original intention.
